VOLUMI VIVI – OLTRE IL CORPO brings contemporary works into dialogue with the archaeological collection of AMAT. Developed specifically for the museum, the exhibition unfolds throughout its rooms, placing traces of contemporary bodies among objects that have outlived the people who once touched, carried and used them.

The works approach the body not only as a physical presence, but as volume, vessel, material and trace. Bronze, ceramic, sunlight, clothing and voice become different ways in which a body can continue beyond itself.

At the centre of the exhibition is a simple question:

What remains of us — and what do we pass on?

VOLUMI VIVI – OLTRE IL CORPO bringt zeitgenössische Arbeiten in einen Dialog mit der archäologischen Sammlung des AMAT. Die eigens für das Museum entwickelten Arbeiten verteilen sich über die Ausstellungsräume und setzen gegenwärtige Körperspuren zwischen Objekte, die die Menschen überdauert haben, von denen sie einst berührt, getragen und benutzt wurden.

Die Arbeiten begreifen den Körper nicht nur als physische Präsenz, sondern als Volumen, Gefäß, Material und Spur. Bronze, Keramik, Sonnenlicht, Kleidung und Stimme werden zu unterschiedlichen Formen, in denen sich ein Körper über sich selbst hinaus fortsetzen kann.

Im Zentrum der Ausstellung steht eine einfache Frage:

Was bleibt von uns – und was geben wir weiter?
